Raymond Washington’s life has come full circle. Once a gang member and drug dealer on the South Side of Chicago, he has transformed his story into one of redemption and purpose.
After serving a 20-year federal sentence, Raymond was granted clemency—a turning point that fueled his determination to rebuild. Today, he is a published author, entrepreneur, and a powerful example of what resilience can achieve.
He now focuses on growing his business, Tyrices Visions Transport, a thriving delivery service based in Atlanta and Stone Mountain, while using his experience to motivate and uplift others.
Carnell Smith, born on Chicago’s West Side, was sentenced to 17 years in prison at age 24 for a drug-related offense. While incarcerated, he found inspiration among fellow creatives and penned his own urban novel, Reverend Doo Wrong.
With the support of his wife, Carnell co-founded Crayzon Productions, a multimedia company that empowers incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals to share their talents through books, film, and theater.
After his release in 2016, he started a trucking company but faced another setback that led to another 3 years—a second drug charge that led to a three-year sentence.
Since his release in 2024, Carnell has stayed focused on his mission. His journey proves it’s never too late to change your life.
